The first stop of the day will be the Ancient City of Termessos, built by the Solymianson the shipping route to the Aegean. Built totally on a mountainous area, we will take our time to explore some of the remains including the walls, the Hadrian's triumphal arch, cisterns, theatre, the gymnasium, agora, the Odeon and the Heroon. Among the tombs which are scattered far and wide can be seen the extraordinary sites of Alcates, Agatemeros and the Lion decorated sarcophagi.
Termessos lies in Gulluk Dag National Park which includes an area for breeding wild goats and deer, and may be the last refuge of the Anatolian lynx. If we are lucky we may also spot the many butterflies that inhabitant here.
After a delicious lunch we will continue to see Duden Waterfalls, a group of waterfalls in the province of Antalya, Turkey. The waterfall, formed by the Duden River (one of the major rivers in southern Anatolia) is located 12 km north-east of Antalya, which ends where the crystal waters of the Lower Duden Falls drop off a rocky cliff directly into the Mediterranean Sea.
Following a large day of site-seeing you will be dropped back to your hotel at 17:00.
